After talking with Dan about some of their creative wedding related jobs, I couldn’t resist hearing more about the company. Any time fashion combines with edibles you can count me in!
One day they got a phone call from InStyle to come up with cookie designs inspired by recent runway shows. “It was really exciting especially for our company which is only 3 years old.” They’ve also worked with Brides magazine on color stories. “Greg, the designer, is really constantly changing what is on the cookie.”
Modern Bite has officially become Kosher certified OU Dairy. “Kosher is a growing market so we decided to go through the process.” Luckily, they haven’t had to sacrifice taste since they didn’t have to change any of their ingredients.
“Greg, the designer, is really constantly changing what is on the cookie.”
It’s been a pleasure for them to now be working with more Jewish organizations like Jewish Day schools selling their cookies and giving 20% back to the school. They have beautiful holiday and Channukah gift boxes that are the perfect hostess gift or for some you know loves beautiful, edible desserts. And let’s face it – who doesn’t??
They are also the official cookie baker for Zazzle, where you can make custom T-shirts, mugs, and of course, cookies!
How Modern Bite began….
Dan has been baking for fun since he was a kid but it wasn’t until Greg came into the picture that their cakes became more modern and graphic. Together they created an aesthetic and found a way to combine Dan’s marketing background, love of baking, and Greg’s designs.
“The idea of something being delicious and have a purpose that could have a message was really exciting to build a brand around that.”
They originally focused on cakes but slowly they realized cookies were the way to go, “cookies are easier to ship than a cake, it’s not necessary for such specific special occasions, and less expensive. That lead to the cookie which is a great blank canvas. With great technology we translate it into something edible.”
We even got to partner up with Modern Bite to create our own holiday packages of cookies. It’s amazing to see works of art on delicious cookies in all their color and beauty. You can trust us when we say they are almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
