Ketubah Description
A bride and groom, hoisted on chairs, linked by a handkerchief, dance to the music of a fiddler. The huppah is decked with realistic, soft roses and wild flowers. Hand painted gilding tops the middle arch and the Ani L’Dodi quote at the bottom. The framework of the arches suggests the Jewish star.
Ketubah Artist Bio
Deborah Kaplan has worked as a calligrapher since 1965 and has been teaching others her love for the written word since 1981. Deborah has specialized in making one-of-a-kind custom Ketubot for over a decade, choosing his art form because of her love of the Hebrew language and its letter forms. A pre-eminent calligrapher, creating Ketubot has greatly added to Deborah’s cultural understanding and constantly adds to her sense of involvement in the Jewish community.
