Two turtledoves representing devotion and faithfulness, are perched on grape vines, symbols of peace and abundance. Quotes from the biblical love poem, the Song of Songs, are delicately written in gold foil calligraphy. Ketubah Artist Bio
Mickie Caspi, an Israeli-American artist and calligrapher has been creating Judaic art since 1980. Mickie’s delicate watercolors draw on the inspiration of many sources: traditional Jewish, Persian and Arabic motifs, contemporary graphics, art nouveau and her love of nature. Mickie studied at Columbia College and spent seven years as a freelance artist and calligrapher in Israel. Her work has been exhibited in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Chicago, San Fransico and Boston, and her illustrations have appeared in several Hebrew children’s books.
