I have been lucky enough to know Debby for 6 years now and she is one of the most giving and thoughtful people I know. Sadly, I was not able to make it to her wedding but between her writing and the magnificent photographs it feels like we were all there!
“The first thing I did when we got engaged in June was start looking for a dress. I went to many wedding dress salons and hated all of them until I walked into Bridal Reflections. They were so kind and calm that I felt I would be happy, regardless what dress I would be able to find and have ready by October. I ended up with an Ysa Makino dress that the designer made tznius [modest] for me in the most perfect way. They were so professional I can’t rave about them enough! We chose our Ketubah based on pure instinct. The one we were initially and ultimately drawn to was “Soul Mates” by Selwyn Mills because of the outdoorsy theme.
We got married under my grandfather’s Yom Kippur talit; He recently passed away so having a reminder of him under the Chuppah was very important to us.
Because of Miami’s unpredictable weather Debby and Danny agreed to bring the outdoors in by placing trees throughout the ballroom. The chuppah was made of branches and white orchids and the place cards were in the shape of petals attached to branches lining the walls.

I didn’t want to hear any talking during the ceremony so in the back of the programs I included 2 Sudokus and a pencil.
Debby and Danny decided to rent their cake. “Only a slice of the bottom tier was real, the rest of the 7 layers were fake, and the cake was already sliced and ready to be eaten in the dessert room. The three cake flavors we served were cream cheese guava, rum, and lemon. They were amazing as always. I’ve never had an Ana Paz cake I didn’t like!”
“Danny has a lot of family in Israel including his grandfather who could not travel for the wedding. Ariel, our videographer, set up a live-stream camera that filmed the whole chuppah and much of the dancing. Danny’s family in Israel had a viewing party and his aunt told me they called his Grandfather and he was thrilled that he could take part in the wedding.

Most of our wedding was centered around showing our guests how much we appreciated them coming down to share in our union. We did everything possible to make it as convenient as we could for our guests to attend and they did not disappoint. We were ecstatic, we had over 100 friends from out of town! We were able to get them a pretty good deal at a nearby hotel, and sent everyone a welcome beach bag with snacks, a schedule of events, and a map of the area with directions how to get to Shul, our home, and the venue where we had lunch.
We could not have asked for a more wonderful weekend and we are so thankful to our parents, and everyone around us who helped us make our dreams come true.”
